ICC - International Criminal Court

The primary mission of the International Criminal Court (ICC) is to investigate, prosecute and try individuals accused of committing the most serious crimes of concern to the international community as a whole, namely the crime of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and the crime of aggression. Established in 1998, ICC is based in The Hague, Netherlands.

ICC uses a "custom" software called ECOS (Electronic Court System). Along with the increase in court proceedings, ICC faced an increasingly demanding task of administrating the growing number of interpreters of different languages needed to collect testimony and provide services at hearings. Administrative tasks required to manage interpreters’ assignments increased to a level that made it impossible to perform the task manually.

ICC decided to find a technology partner to provide a complete and integrated solution.

ICC put its trust in TGV to develop the support system to electronically manage the workflow of interpreters, organizing in a centralized and swift manner the interpreters’ case assignments and scheduling, keeping track of hours worked, and automatically transmitting schedules and assignments via email.

The tailored solution also keeps track of completed work and handles the payment process. Based on TGV’s work and proven expertise, the ICC decided to hire TGV for maintenance of the court’s systems.

Technologies deployed Oracle (version 10G), JDeveloper with JHeadstart, and JBossSeam.
